Title: 'Save yourself'


Genre : Thriller , Horror and Sci-Fi.

Theme: Afterlife,courage , death, fear, saviour.

The story is about a teenager that gave up on their own life to save another. They wake up again in a white room with a letter in it on the wall. The letter explains that they have 24 hours to save their own life without being spotted by themself or death.Thy have 3 tries to not be spotted or caught by death ( the day will start again if they do get spotted or caught). Death is disguised as regular people and hard to be recognized till face to face.

Inspirations for this idea :

Gantz: An anime about a school boy ( Kurono Kei) that died saving a homeless man with his childhood friend ( Kato Masura). They both jumped into a room with a black orb called the 'Gantz' that tells them they must kill aliens to earn points to have their own life back.

Another inspiration was from a music video by Slipknot called ' Vermillion'. I like the effect of having one character in one time and the surrounding people a lot faster.



If I was to take a scene and film it within 60 seconds I would have the scene of the main character waking up in the white room with the letter. Then have them enter the day they just had again in the street and catches a glimpse of the back of their own head.

The 60 second will have no dialog except the voice over of the main character reading the letter in their own head.

The letter will say:

"You are now dead.

 Another chance at life?

 Save yourself?

Don't let yourself be noticed.

You have 24 hours.

You have 3 tries.

Avoid death.

Good luck."

1st scene: INT- White room (Studio) DAY

Main character is laying on the floor of the white room. There eyes open and then they proceed to gaze around the room. He sits up (looks confused), notices letter on the wall in front of them. Gets up and rips letter off wall. 

Beings to read the letter in their head ( voice over ) .

"You are now dead.

 Another chance at life?

 Save yourself?

Don't let yourself be noticed.

You have 24 hours.

You have 3 tries.

Avoid death.

Good luck."

2nd scene : EXT - street ( green dragon lanes)DAY

Character begins to feel dizzy and a light flashes across screen. Character appears on the street. Character looks round and notices they are back in reality, on the same day they died. Time suddenly becomes slow for them and the civilians around them become faster then their own time. Character notices the back of their past self who is in their time. Begins to chase them but then time suddenly goes back to normal and the 'past self' lost in crowd. Future self became tired , looks up at the first form of death, death smiles and screen becomes static.
