During the time that we spent creating the ident and planning the ident we decided to choose a simple yet effective idea. We wanted to use claymation because it is creative and fun. We didn't want to spend a lot of time creating the figures as its very time consuming taking image after image to create the stop-motion. As a group me and Madeleine gave each other roles. I took the images while she moved the figures to the accurate movements. When coming to editing I pieced the video together while she searched for sound effects and music.
The main concept of the brief was to advertise the college as a friendly environment. And I think we succeeded. We made sure to incorporate the college logo and even create the figures with the colours of the logo. We also made the figures do activities that the college can give to the average student. And by doing so we pieced together a simple yet effective ident.
However not all went so smoothly. There are some errors during the video. During the video you can see the classroom , string and even Madeleine. These are however minor setbacks as these mistakes show that is a college project and not perfect. It was unintentional but it shows that anyone can create a short video like so. But if I was to do it again I would have used a back drop and made sure strings and people were not visible.
Im most proud that it is complete and fulfils the brief. It has minor mistake but it doesn't effect the complete video.
