zoetrope

A 'Zoetrope' was one of the first forms of Animation. The process of this device is with a series of similar but different images to create the illusion that the images are moving together to create one short animation.

My first try at using the zoetrope I drew a simple ball bouncing.

However I tried to improve my self By doing another. I drew a stickman dancing however this one did not turn out so well as the images were too static and changed dramatically between its section.








There is also the theory involving the 'phi' phenomenon, which is illusion created by our eyesight to make the image move.
