Soundtrack Analysis
The first scene I chose was from one of my favorite films 'Oldboy' (2003) directed
The second scene I choose was from a film called 'Brazil' (1985) directed by Terry Gilliam. I choose this film as its known for its sound. I choose the scene where 'Sam Lowry' (Jonathan Pryce) goes to visit his mother as she keeps tampering with his job making sure he gets a promotion. The scene shows his mother receiving plastic surgery in a very surreal way. The scene similar to 'Oldboy' they used stringed instruments to emphasis the odd scene. The dialogue is however louder than the music because there is more dialect in this scene. within this scene you can also hear the sound of the water feature in the center of the room. There is no Foley of FX used in this scene as its not needed.

by Chan-wook Park. The scene involves a huge fight between a group of thugs and one man. The music behind the scene is a soft melody of stringed instruments. The film did that to contrast the violent scene with the soft music. The music is slightly louder than the ambiance of the scene but we can still hear the grunts of the men. The dialogue is limited as the scene is more to do with the fight , the film is a Korean film as all the speech is in Hangul which in some cases fits with the soft music. There is some Foley in the last 15 seconds of the scene where you see 'Oh Dae-su' (Choi min-sik) walking out of the car park, his foot steps hitting on the concrete ground becomes very dominate with the non-music scene.

Single camera - The 26th day
Evaluation
Looking back at the final product I can say I was quite surprised with the turn-out as we did run out of time and didn't realise the length of the video was supposed to be the maximum of 5 minutes. Knowing that we had to cut the video down a lot. And instead of ending the film we left the story with a cliff hanger cutting of the 5th scene.
My role in the film was make-up and an actor. Overall I was not happy with my performance or make-up. Because I felt like I could have done better with the FX as I've used it before and I felt I could have done better. However when it comes to acting i've never done it before and I'm not comfortable infront of a camera.Subsequently I felt like I let down the film a bit because of my mistakes.
Looking at peer feedback there is a mixture of negative and positive feedback. We received positive feedback on our frame work , editing, special effects, music and the camera motion. Our negative was on lighting ( outside) and character realism. But in defence when filming the outside footage we were experiencing some weather problems and it changed dramatically from dark clouds and rain to sun.
As a team I think we worked very well together as we managed to film and complete the product and still manage to have fun.I would say the most impressive part of the video was the filming as I found it very slick and flowing with the narrative at the same time. The negative point I would say is the cliff hanger as I felt like the whole story would have been a great short film but unfortunately we didn't have the time to complete filming or even present it as our maximum was 5 minutes.

WOW- news corp
BBC news a British company from the ‘British Broadcasting
Company’. The show was developed to inform their viewers on what is happening
around the world and current affairs in Britain. The company has millions of customer’s
everyday as the British consume all forms of the BBC every day.
The news corporation’s obvious parent is the BBC as the company
owns the main channels in Britain. The founder of the BBC was ‘Sir John Reith’,
but in charge of news since 2004 is ‘Helen Boaden’.
BBC news has been around since 1934. The public relied on
newspapers and radio stations in the 1900’s as it was their only form of news.
But then the BBC created news on the television so that the viewers can see and
hear about the world. Also this helped the British understand WW2 more as
presenters were able to show and inform the British about what was going on.
The BBC news produces over 120 hours of radio and television
news each day, as well as online coverage. The company has sustained 44 foreign
news bureaux and has corresponded in almost every country.
The company owns many broadcasting buildings wide spread over
England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The budget over the whole department is annually £350
million. With 3,500 staff ( 2,000 are journalists ) the company is nowhere at
lost. The company is seen online,
newspapers and advertised on radio stations owned by the BBC.
