by Chan-wook Park. The scene involves a huge fight between a group of thugs and one man. The music behind the scene is a soft melody of stringed instruments. The film did that to contrast the violent scene with the soft music. The music is slightly louder than the ambiance of the scene but we can still hear the grunts of the men. The dialogue is limited as the scene is more to do with the fight , the film is a Korean film as all the speech is in Hangul which in some cases fits with the soft music. There is some Foley in the last 15 seconds of the scene where you see 'Oh Dae-su' (Choi min-sik) walking out of the car park, his foot steps hitting on the concrete ground becomes very dominate with the non-music scene.

The second scene I choose was from a film called 'Brazil' (1985) directed by Terry Gilliam. I choose this film as its known for its sound. I choose the scene where 'Sam Lowry' (Jonathan Pryce) goes to visit his mother as she keeps tampering with his job making sure he gets a promotion. The scene shows his mother receiving plastic surgery in a very surreal way. The scene similar to 'Oldboy' they used stringed instruments to emphasis the odd scene. The dialogue is however louder than the music because there is more dialect in this scene. within this scene you can also hear the sound of the water feature in the center of the room. There is no Foley of FX used in this scene as its not needed.
